ICCD Camera Technology

We specialize on image intensified CCD cameras - ICCD - due to their outstanding combination of outermost high speed and low light level performance together with convenient handling, small size and reasonable pricing.

Compared to electron multiplying CCD cameras they offer ultra high speed gating, excellent signal to noise ratio and do not need expensive cooling systems.

With our miniaturized "All-in-one-head" design all our cameras are only 110 x 135 x 248mm in size and weigh 3kg. This makes them the smallest and most light weighted ICCD cameras available on the market.

In this section we'll discuss the main aspects of ICCD camera technology in a brief yet comprehensive way. We'd like to show peculiarities and possibilities offered by image intensifier equipped CCD cameras. However, we are not afraid of pointing out constraints to these technical systems that are operating at the absolute physical limits concerning extreme low light conditions and ultra short exposure times.
